Although Prime Movr’s system is much smaller than these large-scale projects, the company believes its technology will open doors for a wide range of everyday, wireless power applications. Co-founder Parvez Rishi explains: “This technology holds great potential for powering remote sensors and outdoor cameras—places where wired charging simply isn’t feasible.”
Alongside its laser technology, Prime Movr is also developing a wireless power solution using radio frequency (RF) in collaboration with the University of Kashmir’s Institute of Technology. While both technologies continue to advance, the team sees major advantages in laser power, including higher energy density, precise targeting, and long-range capability. These strengths make laser transmission ideal for powering remote, mobile, and hard-to-reach electronic systems where wired or inductive charging falls short.
