Ireland — October 22, 2024 — Level Up is an initiative focused on supporting those in or fleeing conflict areas through educational opportunities. The focus of Level Up is to empower people in precarious situations to acquire new skills and gain access to new career opportunities in order to transform their lives. The programme, which is now entering its 6th year, is run by Zartis, an Irish software services company. Level Up has already supported 100+ aspiring professionals and has enabled many of them to get hired by renowned companies such as HubSpot, Accenture, Ericsson, and more.
This year, Level Up is kicking off with UX Design Scholarships, provided by the UX Design Institute. This is the 2nd year the UX Design Institute is taking part in this social initiative and these scholarships will help refugees and asylum seekers in Ireland and across the world.
UX Design Institute professional course is the industry standard qualification. They provide the perfect framework for new beginners to learn the full UX design process from research to interaction design to prototyping. Their courses are overseen by an Industry Advisory Council to ensure relevance and they’ve partnered with Glasgow Caledonian University to make sure they meet the highest educational standards.
Graduates will be supported by the UX Design Institute’s membership community, including access to the networking opportunities that it carries. Additionally, Zartis team members will also aid their transformation to be ready for the job market.
Why do the UX Design Institute scholarships matter?
The demand for skilled UX designers is growing rapidly, with businesses increasingly recognising the importance of user experience in driving customer satisfaction and business growth. According to recent studies, companies with strong UX design practices can outperform their competitors by up to two times in revenue growth. Furthermore, businesses investing in improved UX design can see conversion rates increase by up to 400%, underscoring the value of a well-crafted user experience.
With the UX job market also expanding, 68% of hiring managers expect to hire UX and product designers in the next 1 to 2 years. These scholarships offer a timely opportunity for aspiring professionals to acquire the skills necessary to meet this demand, providing them with a path to sustainable careers in a fast-growing field.
By the end of 2025, Level Up alumni will have the skills and the certification to enter the job market as UX Design Professionals. The UX Design course focuses on preparing students to gain advanced knowledge that can help them get hired in today’s job market. The course is 100% online, it is self-paced and supported by mentors and monthly portfolio projects; which means anyone around the world can complete the course in their own time. No former experience in UX design is required. Further information can be found on the Level Up: UX Design web page.
