Functional “Healer Tonic” Targets Scalp Microbiome Balance

SEOUL, South Korea — Korean scalp research-based brand ‘HILMO:N’ announced that its functional scalp tonic, Healer Tonic, has achieved its second consecutive sell-out, drawing attention for its microbiome-focused approach to seborrheic scalp concerns.
While conventional scalp care products typically focus on temporary soothing or oil control, HILMO:N attributes recurring scalp issues to an imbalance in the scalp’s resident microbiota. The brand developed Healer Tonic to address scalp environment conditioning rather than short-term symptom suppression.
Healer Tonic is certified by South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) as a functional product for alleviating hair loss symptoms. According to human clinical testing results released by the company:
90.2% improvement in scalp flaking after a single use
9.36°C reduction in scalp surface temperature after one use
57.9% decrease in scalp sebum after one use
45.7% improvement in scalp irritation soothing after one use
73.4% reduction in dandruff after 4 weeks
84.5% reduction in scalp itching after 4 weeks
The product also passed a skin irritation test with a 0.00% irritation index and is formulated at pH 5.0, closely matching the natural acidity of a healthy scalp environment.
“Scalp care is not just about cleansing. It is about restoring balance,” said a Hillmoan spokesperson. “Considering the high recurrence rate of seborrheic scalp conditions, we focused on long-term scalp conditioning and microbiome stability.”
Following its second sell-out, ‘HILMO:N’ is currently preparing additional inventory and expanding its distribution strategy.
