Meet the Founders
Dave Johnson, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of BeTeachable, brings two decades of leadership, training, and people-management experience to the table. A former Army paratrooper and military veteran, Dave’s background is enriched by his business studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and a successful career in managing and owning small businesses. Over the past decade, he has honed his expertise in sales, relationship management, and business process optimization. In addition to his business achievements, Dave is also a semi-professional poker player who has competed at the World Series of Poker, where he developed keen insights into risk management, strategic thinking, and decision-making under pressure.
Moe Mathews, Co-Founder of BeTeachable, is a dynamic thought leader with 30 years of experience as a motivational speaker, consultant, and business coach. A decorated war veteran, Moe’s distinguished career began in the United States Marine Corps, where he became the youngest Warrant Officer selected by the Secretary of the Navy at just 28. After transitioning to civilian life, Moe founded and sold a successful marketing and advertising company and now focuses on empowering entrepreneurs through real estate development and coaching. His passion for helping business owners break through barriers and reach their full potential is at the core of BeTeachable’s mission.
