Boi expressed the emotional weight of this story, reflecting on his own life experiences: “It’s based on my experience with my father, who suffered from dementia and unfortunately passed away in April of 2020. It’s truly a horrible disease, and writing this script was how I dealt with it.” By centering the narrative around the theme of dementia, Boi aims to give audiences a unique perspective that blends horror with the emotional turmoil of real-life struggles. He describes it as “The Conjuring meets Poltergeist,” setting the stage for a blend of suspenseful storytelling and heartfelt reflection.
